AAS & AFS

Atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) is a spectroanalytical procedure for the quantitative determination of chemical elements using the absorption of optical radiation (light) by free atoms in the gaseous state. AAS is usually used for testing the substance of As, Cd, Cu, Mn, Pb, Zn.

Atomic Fluorescence Spectroscopy (AFS) is similar to Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. By applying the energy onto atom and excites electrons from its ground electronic state into an excited state. AFS is usually used for testing the substance of As, Se, Sb, Hg.
